Update - 2021 Paul Bowers Memorial Lacrosse Tournament

Coaches, Coordinators, and Players,

We regret to inform you that we will not be able to proceed with the 2021 Paul Bowers Memorial Lacrosse Tournament as we had originally planned. After careful consideration and coordination with state and local officials, we realize that we cannot host one of the largest youth lacrosse tournaments in New England, while meeting all of the COVID-related public health guidelines.  The Paul Bowers Memorial Lacrosse Tournament typically hosts 3,000 - 4,000 people over the course of the weekend and we believe that it is still too soon to hold such a large, regional event.

This tournament has been an institution in the New England lacrosse community for over 30 years and we are deeply saddened that it has come to this for a 2nd year in a row.

We hope that our community of players and coaches continue to stay safe and healthy. We wish you all the best with your regular season and look forward to seeing everyone at our tournament in 2022!

Yours in lacrosse,

The Bowers Tournament Committee with Somers Lacrosse Association
